LH Los Habladores

Card set

Cards that make Spanish easier to start

No mas silencio is a card set for people who want to practise Spanish without turning it into a lesson.

The cards are inspired by years of Los Habladores meetups in Utrecht. They are built for the moment when everyone wants to talk, but nobody knows the first question. Pick a card, read it out loud and let the table do the rest.

A question

¿Qué lugar en el mundo te hace sentir en casa?

A simple question can open stories about family, migration, holidays, food, language and belonging.

No mas silencio

100 questions

For meetups, classes, friends, beginners who dare and people who understand more Spanish than they speak.

Use it anywhere

Designed around real tables

At a meetup

Split a big table into smaller groups and give each group a question. It takes the pressure off and stops everyone from switching to English too quickly.

With friends

Use the cards over drinks, dinner or a walk. The questions are designed to create stories, not one-word answers.

In class

Teachers can use the cards at the start of class, for pair work, roleplay and speaking practice at the end.

FAQ

Good to know

Is this only for advanced speakers?

No. The cards are useful for mixed levels. Beginners can answer briefly, advanced speakers can say more and native speakers can help when someone gets stuck.

Why cards instead of a normal list of questions?

Cards change the energy at the table. People pick, pass, react and laugh. It feels more like a game and less like homework.

Are the cards ready to buy?

Not yet. We are still working on the questions, categories and look. Instagram is where we show how that is going.
